- Motorbåten "Thor" var Norzink sin ekspressbåt mellom Eitrheimsneset og Tyssedal. I desember 1925 gjekk båten ned etter ein kollisjon med motorbåten "Aalvik". Eit isflak i råket flytta "Thor" slik at "Aalvik" køyrde rett inn han og laga eit hol der vatnet fylde båten slik at han sokk raskt. Kapteinen var aleine om bord, og klarte å berga seg over i "Aalvik". Då båten låg på om lag 50 meters djupne, freista ein ikkje å få han opp att. Frå lokalavisa Hardanger 09.12.1925 (nb.no)

- HistoryFødt i Hviterussland, avstammet fra Polsk-Russisk adel. Snakket flytende engelsk, fransk og tysk i tillegg til russisk. Selskapsdame for baronesse Olga Julioff i Boris Gleb, senere i Berlevåg. Emigrerte til Amerika 12. mars 1918. Kom tilbake til Norge og Odda i 1920 (folketelling 1920 for 1228 Odda herred). Flyttet til Østerrike i 1930, til Kenya under 2. verdenskrig, der hun døde i 1956, 80 år gammel.
