Lars Larsen Ingulfsvand (1859-1913) livnærte seg som fotograf i Lierne i Nord-Trøndelag, og etterlot seg en enestående fotografisk skatt. Han startet som fotograf i 1885, og drev på frem til sin død. I tillegg til Lierne, var han også virksom i nabokommunene Røyrvik og Namsskogan.
I tillegg til de formelle portrettene og gruppebildene, tok han bilder fra møtet mellom sørsame- og bondekulturen , noe som var høyst uvanlig for sin tid. På denne måten har vi fått et enestående innblikk i dagliglivet i et stykke utkant-Norge, og i møtet mellom norsk og samisk kultur. I tillegg omfatter samlingen fotografier av hans sønn Lars Ingulf.
Negativene har blitt oppbevart under svært varierende forhold, og har representert en del konserveringsmessige utfordringer. De bildene som vises på Digitalt Museum er svært lite forarbeidet fra negative filer, ved bestillinger vil det være mulig å høyne den fotografiske gjengivelsen betraktelig.
Samlingen teller ca. 3 500 negativer, i tillegg til en del teknisk utstyr. Samlingen er eid av Nord-Trøndelag Fylkeskommune og deponert på Levanger Museum, der museet har fått overført forvaltningsansvaret.
Frivillige fra Lierne har lagt ned et betydelig arbeid med å identifisere personer på bildene.
