Brev fra SU til Hope Emily Allen 23. okt. 1943: Mrs Shea has sent the quilts. I wish you could see them, they are really very pretty now, the one with the baskets finished, and the blue-and-white clean and nice.
Hope Emily Allen skriver i et brev til SU datert 2. februar, trolig 1949: "I have been home 3 weeks ... In a vote yesterday on school matters one of the tellers Mrs Shea again asked after you. She did the quilts for you and hopes they are useful."
