Motivet viser garden Mellom-Fjell i Nord-Odal (gnr 41, bnr 1), Hedmark. Kunstneren bodde ofte i sidebygningen der (som nå er våningshus), og malte blant annet det daværende våningshuset som sees på bildet. Eier av garden i dag er Ola Thesen, og opplysningene har jeg (i dag) fått av hans mor, Goro Thesen, f. 1927.
