Boremaskinen (søylebor) ble brukt av Henrik Eides orgelfabrikk til produksjon av harmonium/trøorgler som ofte ble solgt til kirker og menigheter. Firmaet har gått i arv og eksisterer i dag som Henrik Eide AS.
Utdrag fra omtale av bedriften Henrik Eide AS:
"På mange måter er firmaets historie sammenfallende med Einar Kalands Instrumentfabrikk, som ble stiftet i 1898.
Gjennom trekkspillrepratør Ole Espeland, eller som de gamle sa; "Ola Stril", ble Henrik Eide ledet inn i foretaket. Som 22-åring ble han i år 1900 formann i bedriften.
Fabrikken holdt til i Domkirkegaten frem til 1909, da det brendte i lokalene. Dette førte til at Kaland bygget ny fabrikk, som stod ferdig i Sigurdsgate i Bergen i ca 1910.
Produksjonen var meget stor, ca 300 instrument i året.
På grunn av vanskelige tider i industrien slutter Kaland produksjonen i 1920.
Henrik Eide og hans 2 sønner Ludvig og Olav fortsetter produksjonen under vanskelige forhold. De greier imidlertid påkjenningene, - og bygger i 1935 sin egen fabrikkl på Ask på Askøy uten for Bergen.
Fabrikken produserte harmonium frem til 1970, da de elektroniske orglene tok over.
I 1945 etablerte firmaet også sin egen butikk på Vestre Murallmenning i Bergen, med Borghild Eide ved roret. Firmaet begynte med import og salg av pianoet i tillegg til harmoniumssalget." http://www.henrikeide.no/omoss.html
