Konebåt (Umiak) er inuittenes store, åpne reise - og transportbåt, brukt for flyttingene om sommeren. Kvinner, barn, hunder og annet ble fraktet i Umiaken. Båten ble alltid rodd av kvinner ( derfor navnet konebåt) mens styreåren ble skjøttet av menn. Konebåten kan være opptil 10 meter lang, og er sammensatt av et treskjelett trukket med selskinn. Det går med opptil 7 store selskinn, og disse blir nøyaktig sydd sammen.
Mennene brukte sine kajakker. Kajakkens treskjelett består av treribber eller hvalbein trukket med selskinn. Den er som regel rundt 5 meter lang og 0,50 meter bred.
