Mosjøen var i mange år den store bilbyen på Helgeland. På det meste hadde byen 13 lokalt eide bilforretninger. En av de store var Lind & Greva. Disse bildene er tatt i mars 1975 da firmaet markerte 20 år som Ford-forhandler.
Otto Lind startet firmaet sammen med Johan Greva (som senere omkom i ei ulykke) i en garasje til Helgeland Bilruter i C M Havigs gate. I 1958 bygde de stor forretning og verksted i Skjervgata (der rådhuset nå står).
Otto var opprinnelig fra Brønnøy og det var der han fikk sin mekanikerlære. Derfor var det naturlig for han å opprette både salgsavdeling og verksted i Brønnøysund og Sandnessjøen. I 1975 hadde firmaet 38 ansatte. På det meste var det over 60 ansatte i firmaet.
Allerede under krigen begynte Otto så smått som bilreparatør. Den gang arbeidet han på jernbanen, men om kveldene hjalp han folk som hadde kjørt i stykker kjøretøyene sine. Da holdt han på i et uthus ved meieriet. Men reservedeler var omtrent umulig å skaffe, så de fleste delene måtte han lage.
Det var litt andre tider enn de datastyrte verkstedene vi kjenner i dag.
