Hei! Hotel Hardanger brann ned i 1895, eitt år seinare var det nye hotell Hardanger bygd opp att, større og finare enn nokon gong. I 1917 selde eigarane hotellet til Odda kommune, som nytta det som rådhus fram til dei bygde nytt i 1957. Hotel Hardanger/rådhuset vart rive vinteren 1976-1977.
