Teapot and lid dating to the last quarter of the 18th century: decorated on one side with the Daoist Immortal Li Tieguai on a lion, carrying a gourd flask out of which fly five bats (symbolising the Five happiness i.e. health, wealth, happiness, long life, a pieceful death). His attendants carry a flag and a flaming pearl, symbol of wisdom. On the other side is an elephant bearing a vase on its back that contains 3 halberds - this is a rebus for ping sheng san ji "may you rise three grades in rank as you deserve". The elephant with a vase and saddle cloth beneath it are another pun for tai ping an you xiang "perfect peace and harmony in the universe". Attendants carry trays bearing lucky emblems, a fly whisk, and a branch of coral. Mandsfigurer, ledende en elefant, der bærer en stor vase med hellebarder paa ryggen; efter disse følger et optog med et løvelignende fabeldyr omgit av tre personer
