  Carvel-built sailing boat made of mahogany, oak and Oregon pine. Balett was built in 1968 at Sune Carlsson's boatyard in Saltsjöbaden. It was made for the sailing competition of the Olympic games of 1972 held in Kiel.

  The Star boat is a sensitive and demanding two-man boat. It is overrigged in relation to the small weight of its hull (671 kg) and very sensitive to trimming. The weight of the crew members and how they are placed strongly affect the behavior of the boat. The Star boat was designed in 1911 by Francis Schweisguth, and over 7 500 have been built. Between 1912 and 1932 they formed an Olympic class of their own. Many of the world's foremost sailors have sailed a Star boat at one time or other during their careers. In 1912 the Swedish sailor Fredrik Lööf and his hand Max Salminen won the gold medal in the Olympic Games.

  The Balett was brought in 1994 with funds provided by the Föreningen Sveriges sjöfartsmuseum i Stockholm (Association for the Swedish Maritime Museum in Stockholm).
