This was the first metal folding camera, the Model II. It was designed with a patent by H. Mader in 1888-1890. The camera was donated to the museum in January 1939 by Helmer Bäckström, who was a professor of photography. The camera is marked "5" in the slats of the bellows as well as with a round mark with the letters G M R and two sword-like characters. The lens is marked "Aplanal Invincible" and has "VI" engraved on the back at the threads. The camera comes with four cassettes, five plug-in apertures and a textile-clad case.
