The cable crossing the sound, Kvalsundet, from Beritsjordet to Alnes was laid in 1935, but the cable houses were blown up and burnt by the Germans in the autumn of 1944. The current cable houses were in all likelihood constructed at some point in the 1950s. Both houses have recently been restored. The house at Beritsjordet also has five preserved telephone poles.
Location: Kvalsundet, Finnmark
Constructed: Beginning of the 1950s
About the object
