Beautiful! i love Norwegian architecture. This Arestue type building reminds me of the old Udmurt (the Udmurts are a finno ugric people living in the volga region of Russia) building known as Kua or Kuala. The Kua is a religious building that also served as a summer kitchen. It was the simplest building on the Udmurt farmstead and had no windows. Inside it always had a central fireplace with a cauldron hanging over it on a wooden pole or chain. There are other finno ugric peoples with similar buildings but i've only researched the Udmurt Kua. For anyone interested here are some links to info on the Kua.
