- Etter at den forrige kirken i Tana ble brent av tyskerne i 1944, gikk det tjue år før den nye kirken sto ferdig. Grunnsteinen ble nedlagt i 1962 og kirken ble vigslet i 1964. Tana kirke er en moderne arbeidskirke i tre med basilika form. Koret er lavere og smalere enn kirkerommet. Det høye, spisse taket og det frittstående klokketårnet i betong og tre er tekket med altaskifer. Arkitekt var Espen Poulson. Kirkerommet er treskipet. Søylene av limtre, som markerer overgangen mellom midtskipet og de smale sideskipene, er forlengelser av taksperrene. Langs langveggene er det sammenhengende vindusrekker. Menighetssalen under orgelgalleriet er forbundet med kirkerommet med brede dører, og i mellomrommet mellom kirkebygningen og klokketårnet er det våpenhus og dåpssakristi. Altertavlen, som er malt av Terje Grøstad fra Telemark, har Oppstandelsen som hovedmotiv. Sidemotivene er Den gode hyrde og Korsfestelsen, og i hjørnene er de fire evangelistsymbolene.
