Bilden har tagits i samband med kulturhistorisk karakterisering av Eriksbergskyrkan, Uppsala janauri 2008.
Eriksbergskyrkan invigdes 1960 och ritades på 1950-talet av arkitekten Sten Hummel-Gumaelius som en av Uppsala nya stadsdelskyrkor. Den ligger på en höjd intill Norbyvägen och anknyter med sin enkla rektangulära plan, sitt branta sadeltak och sin inre rymd till Upplands medeltida kyrkobyggande. Kyrkan är sammanbyggd med ett församlingshem som tillsammans med kyrkan omsluter en innergård. En klockstapel i betong med utpräglat modernistisk karaktär är placerad intill anläggningens hörn mot Eriksbergsvägen. Kyrkans branta tak reser sig högt över församlingshemmet som ligger i sluttningen ner mot Eriksbergsvägen. Församlingshemmet är byggt i suterräng i sluttningen ner mot Eriksbergsvägen.
