Yes, this is "Hopfenmarkt" in Hamburg; the market place in front of the St. Nikolai-Kirche (behind the photographer, facing west.)

Nikolaitorvet is a bit misleading, because Hamburg never had a Nikolai Tor. I have a quite similar post card from 1905.
