Arvid Augustin Eriksson fotograferade i Linköping under åren 1910-1950, han föddes i Linköping 1887-08-27. Arvid arbetade som frisör och drev sin egen frisersalong på Storgatan 13-15. Han var gift med Alida Eriksson och tillsammans fick de sonen Erik Eriksson och dottern Inga Eriksson (senare Loarp, konstnär).
Fritiden ägnade han åt segling och foto och han spelade även dragspel. Med dragspelet underhöll han ibland på fester, vintertid spelade han vid Linköpings skridskobana.
Bilderna i samlingen är från olika delar av Linköping, många är från området runt Villa Stångå där familjen levde, Åkersbergsgatan 1, vid Strandpromenaden. Vissa bilder är på familj, släkt och vänner, musicerande vänner.
Sonen Erik Eriksson har tagit en del av bilderna, även han frisör i frisersalongen, med segling/skridskosegling och foto som hobby.
Bilderna i samlingen visar vardagslivet i Linköping i början av 1900-talet. Motiven är även från seglatser på Roxen, picknick i det gröna på någon ö i Roxen, eller Bergs slussar. Det finns bilder av stadsmiljöer i Linköping, även från Norrköpings hamn där han hämtade leveranser till sin frisersalong.
Arvid fotograferade med en Eastman Kodak, Folding autographic brownie under 1910-20 talet. Senare använde han sig av en Agfa Movex 8, från 1920 och framåt.
Samlingen består av ca 200 glasplåtar som skänktes till Bild Linköping av Arvids barnbarn Eva Loarp i juli 2021.
