- Da fløtinga i Glomma ble avviklet i 1985 ble det ordnet slik at fellesfløtingsforeningens arkivsaker ble overlatt til Riksarkivet, som valgte å fortsette å oppbevare dem i det eksisterende arkivrommet ved Fellesfløtingsforeningens kontor på Fetsund. Amanuensis Øivind Vestheim fra Norsk Skogbruksmuseum veiledet lokale prosjektansatte, som startet ordning av materialet. Den daglige forvaltningen av arkivene er seinere overtatt av medarbeidere fra museet som ble etablert på Fetsund lenser i 1990. I forbindelse med avviklinga av Glomma fellesfløtingsforening ble den fotografiske samlinga organisasjonen hadde bygd opp overført til daværende Norsk Skogbruksmuseum i Elverum. Materialet består av 72 album, samt en del løse papirkopier og noe negativmateriale. Motivene er fra hele Glommavassdraget, samt fra ymse ekskursjonsreiser fløtingsfunksjonærene deltok i langs andre vassdrag. Museumsfotograf OT Ljøstad har reprodusert de fleste av opptakene i dette materialet og skrevet negativnummere i albumene han har utført repro fra. Det finnes, som nevnt, også originalnegativer til en del av motivene. Disse skal være merket og ordnet i mapper etter at de kom til museet.
