- Disse Sager ere f. paa den nysnævnte Gaard Reine i Sandsvær Pgd. og skjænkede til Samlingen tilligemed No. 112 af Grundeieren, Gaardbruger Abraham Foss. Efter de af denne meddelte Oplysninger er de fundne i en Sandhaug, der vel tildels er bleven antaget for at være en Gravhaug, men som paa Grund af Materialets lagede Beskaffenhed maa være oplagt af Vandet. Oldsagerne fandtes paa 3 forskjellige Steder i en Linie fra N.-S. i denne Haug; Afstanden mellem de to yderste Steder c. 10 Alen. Paa disse Steder var Lagenes Regelmæssighed forstyrret og Sandet noget mere muldblandet end ellers. Af Ben fandtes efter Sigende intet Spor (der er dog blandt nogle til Fundet hørende Fragmenter en Tand, der synes at være en Mennesketand), heller ikke Kul. Dybden, hvori Sagerne laa, var c. 3/4 Alen. Paa det ene Sted fandtes de ovenfor under a-c opførte Sager, paa det andet Stykkerne d og nogle Fragmenter af Pilespidser; paa det tredie endelig Stykkerne e-i. Desuden fandtes paa sidste Sted en senere bortkommen hel Sølvmynt, der havde Indskrift med latinske Bogstaver. Ved Spænderne g laa Stumper af Tøi.
