    • Sitat frå SNL;

      Magnus Dagestad, treskjerar og skulestyrar. Han arbeidde for ein norsk riksstil, som han kalla det, ein brukskunst og ein prydkunst som bygde på det beste i den norske folkekunsten frå mellomalderen. I tillegg til verkstad i Bergen og på Voss dreiv han Norsk kunsthandverksskule på Voss.
