Bror Finneskog (1906-1976) var född i Tjärnberget, Nyskoga. Hans efternamn var egentligen Henriksson, men han tog sig namnet Finneskog på 1920-talet. Som 18-åring startade han tidskriften ”Finnbygden”, den kom ut 1924-1929. 1947 återupptog Finneskog utgivningen och den utkom den med 4 nummer per år fram till 1976. Tidskriften bidrog till att sprida information om finnkultur och aktuell forskning på området. Den blev mycket populär, kanske därför att den också innehöll mer lättsamt material, som noveller och roliga historier. Bror Finneskog var själv ”Finnbygdens” redaktör fram till sin bortgång i januari 1976.
