Anlagt under "grevenes tid" (uvisst når), og eid av Grevskapet frem til slutten av 1700-tallet, da det ble solgt til en av de tidligere forpakterne Søren Gottfred Blom. Hans enke solgte det i 1805 til Nils Johansen Bugge, som fikk med sin svoger Iver Hesselberg som medeier. Da Hesselbergs enke døde i 1848, solgte boet verftet til Iver Hesselbergs to sønner.
