Vid korsningen Industrigatan och Östgötagatan (där Priso låg) bygger idag Stångåstaden lägenheter. Kvar står en skorsten från förr. Skorstenen tillhörde på 1950-70 talet Ullholms fabriker, där konsuln K A Ullholm tillverkade Ullastrumpan.
Ullastrumpan var en toppmodern produkt av stretchnylon och blev snabbt en av Sveriges mest sålda strumpbyxor. I fabriken arbetade mestadels kvinnor, vissa med produktion och andra med test av nylonstrumpbyxans superstretch. Bilderna finns i Linköpings kommuns bilddatabas, Bild Linköping. De flesta bilderna från 1950-60 talets Linköping, då produktionen var som störst.

The state of the art “Ullastrumpan” made in Linköping
At the intersection of Industrigatan and Östgötagatan, Stångåstaden, the largest housing company in Linköping, is building an apartment complex during 2021. The site was earlier the location of a supermarket called Priso. Left standing in the area is a big chimney.
From the 1950s through the 1970s, the chimney was part of Ullholms Factories, where consul K A Ullholm produced “Ullastrumpan”. Ullastrumpan was a modern stretch nylon stocking which quickly became one of the best-selling brands in Sweden.The factory work force was largely female, some of them worked on production of the stockings, while others worked as testers of the finished product’s super-stretch qualities. The pictures are from Bild Linköping, an image database containing photographs of Linköping. Most of the pictures from the factory are from the 50s and 60s, when production was at its peak.
