Gjesåsen kirke er en tidstypisk langkirke med tårn i vest, oppført i 1863 etter arkitekt P. H. Holtermanns tegninger. Kirken er utvendig og innvendig panelt og har fikk nyere rektangulære vinduer i skipet og et nytt sakristiet i 1955. Kirken har siden 1961 vært hvitmalt utvendig. Interiøret bærer preg av endringer fra på 1940-50-tallet. Da ble koråpningen utvidet, koret ble platekledd og nyinnredet med dekorative pilastre og smale arkadebuer. Over korbuen er det malt en engel som holder et skriftbånd med teksten «Ære være Gud i det høyeste». Glassmaleriene på østvegg i koret viser den oppstandne Kristus og den korsfestede. Altertavle er en kopi etter A. Tidemands tavle av Jesu dåp i Trefoldighetskirken i Oslo.
