- Dette bildet er fra ei samling der opptakene i hovedsak er gjort av statens regionale skogforvaltere og utsendinger fra skogdirektørens kontor (senere Direktoratet for statens skoger og Statskog SF) i forbindelse med befaringsreiser i forvaltningsdistriktene. Negativsamlinga, med samme nummerering, er også avlevert til museet, men mye mangler og mye er dårlig bevart, blant annet fordi at opptakene i hovedsak er gjort på nitratfilm. Dette fotografiet har ikke bevart originalnegativ. I det fotografiske arkivet etter det statlige skogtilsynet finnes også et større antall diaskopier, samt originale positivkopier utenfor katalogsystemet, men med samme originalnummerering fra DSS. Samlinga omfatter dessuten et betydelig antall nyere positivkopier som er registrert på emne og person hos DSS, uten egne nummer.
