Tapping gjennom Osdammen, der elva Søndre Osa renner ut av Osensjøen i Åmot (Hedmark), antakelig omkring 1920. Denne dammen lå der elva forlater Valmen, ei vik i den nordvestre delen av sjøen. Dammen var snaut 60 meter bred og hadde en tappehøyde på 1,4 meter. Den hadde sju åpninger med mellomliggende kar av steinfylte tømmerkister. Mellom karene gikk det ei dambru av grov plank på tømmersviller. Fotografiet viser hvordan fløterne sto parat med hakene sine på motstrøms side av tømmerkistene for å kunne løsne stokker som la seg mot kistene under damslipp.

Etter at tømmerfløtinga i Glommavassdraget opphørte i 1985 overdro organisasjonen arkivmaterialet sitt til Riksarkivet i Oslo, mens daværende Norsk Skogmuseum fikk overta fotoarkiv og en del gjenstander, samt den eiendommen som seinere er blitt Sørlistøa fløtermuseum ved Osensjøen. Riksarkivet valgte å la arkivsakene ligge i arkivrommet på Fetsund, der det ble ordnet under veiledning av Øivind Vestheim fra Norsk Skogbruksmuseum og seinere forvaltet av personalet ved museet på Fetsund lenser. Fotografiene - 72 album, samt en del film - oppbevares ved Norsk Skogmuseum.
