- Funn fra romertid og steinalder fra Rød (109/1), Onsøy s.p.k. Østfold. ##C 36671 a-f ble funnet på ovennevnte gård Rød i Onsøy. Ca. 90 m NØ for våningshuset var en liten forhøyning mellom to fjellknauser. Den besto av sand og stein. Diam. ca. 8 m. Ved sandtak støtte man på en helle, og under den var leirkaret (a), de fleste brente bein (c), og et flintstykke. Sakene ble tatt vare på, og Egil Mikkelsen foretok en ettergravning. Utgravningsfeltet ble lagt på begge sider av profilen som ble trukket Ø for hellen og graven. Massene var til dels meget omrotet. Midt i feltet var en oval forsenkning i undergrunnen, ca. 0,90 x 0,65 m stor, sikkert rest etter branngraven. I syd var en del større stein, trolig rester etter en dekkende steinpakning. Inntil og under steinene var et ildsted, ca. 0,5 x 0,5 m stort, herfra trekullprøven (f). N for graven var enkelte større stein, og i NØ-hjørne støtte man på fjell. Midt i profilen, ved 1,50 m, ble et mørkere trekullholdig lag påvist. De utgravde massene ble sollet, og flinten (e), pilespissen (d) samt noen leirkarskår og brente bein ble funnet. Det synes klart at romertidsgraven var anlagt på en steinalderboplass. Det er mulig, men ikke sikkert, at ildstedet har hørt til denne. Grunneier fikk tillatelse til å fjerne resterende masser mot at de ble sollet først, og eventuelle funn tatt vare på. Rapport med planer og foto i top.ark.
