- Spilledåsen med plater skal ha blitt bestilt fra tilhørende katalog av en feiermester og samler av diverse ting i Elverum på begynnelsen av 1900-tallet. Instrumentet gikk i arv til datteren som var modist (hattemaker) i samme by. "Omtalte møbel hadde i mange år en sentral plass i finstua på Kjerneby. [..] Som ung bruker på Kjerneby viste jeg og andre søskenbarn den største respekt for klenodiet." (info fra tidligere eier). Siste eier, bosatt i Trondheim tok over spilledåsen med plater i begynnelsen av 1970-årene; en "raritet". Etter et kort opphold på Osterøy ble den gitt til Ringve Musikkmuseum.
