- Dette fotografiet er hentet fra et arkiv der bildene i hovedsak er tatt av statens regionale skogforvaltere og medarbeidere fra skogdirektørens kontor (skogdirektoratet [Det norske Skovvæsen], seinere Direktoratet for statens skoger og Statskog SF) i samband med befaringsreiser i forvaltningsdistriktene. Negativsamlinga, med samme nummerering, er også overlatt til museet, men mye mangler og noe er dårlig bevart, blant annet fordi opptakene i hovedsak er gjort på nitratfilm. Dette bildet har ikke bevart originalnegativ. I det fotografiske arkivmaterialet Norsk Skogmuseum har overtatt etter den statlige skogadministrasjonen finnes også et større antall diaskopier, samt originale positivkopier utenfor katalogsystemet, men med samme originalnummerering fra DSS. Samlinga omfatter dessuten et betydelig antall nyere positivkopier som er registrert på emne og person hos DSS, uten egne nummer.
