Elgjakt på Jernskallen i Regionfelt Østlandet i Åmot, Hedmark, 01. 10. 2009 og 21. 11. 2009. Elgjakta starter den 25. september og foregår til litt ut i november eller til det blir for mye snø. Det er få jegere på dette laget, så lokalkunnskap om terrenget er viktig. Jaktlaget består av John Svendsberget, Arnt Svendsberget og Kjell Olav Nordbekk. De jakter i et terreng på 25. 000 mål. Jakta starter i grålysninga tidlig om morgenen. En jeger går med løshund, mens resten av jaktlaget sitter på post. Jaktlaget har radiokontakt, og i løpet av et drev kan man justere litt på postene etter hvordan elgen beveger seg. De fleste elgene blir felt de første par ukene. Det følger ei koie, 4-koia ("Firer-koia"), med jaktterrenget, og jaktlaget bor der den første uka. Resten av jakta pendler de hjemmefra med bil. De har rett på åtte elger, med mulighet for tilleggsdyr. Hvis de feller hele kvota ender de opp med en kilospris på cirka 75 kroner. Mye av kjøttet leveres på et lokalt elgmottak. Noe kjøtt selges privat og noe går til jegerne privat.
Fotograf OT Ljøstad ved Norsk Skogmuseum gjorde en serie elgjaktopptak på Jernskallen i Regionfelt Østlandet, Åmot, 01. oktober og 21. november 2009. Fotografen hadde avtale med kollega John Svendsberget i jaktlaget om at han skulle bli oppringt "når det skjedde noe" i jakta, slik at han kunne rykke ut med kamera.
