Den statlige skogetatens (Forstvesenets) hus på Meheia ved Kongsberg. Dette er ikke ei skogstue i betydningen koie, men snarere ei hytte. Det dreier seg om en enetasjes laftekonstruksjon med rektangulært grunnplan og med torvtekt saltak med to teglsteinsskorsteiner. Bygningen har to- og trefags funkisvinduer. Hovedinngangsdøra er plassert sentralt på den langsida som vender mot fotografen, men vi skimter også ei dør på gavlveggen. Foran hytta er det reist et stakitt, antakelig for å holde beitedyr unna inngangen. Bak stakittet, foran inngangen, ser vi ei stor gruppe velkledde menn, antakelig samlet i forbindelse med en eller annen form for skogbefaring på Meheia.

Dette fotografiet og flere andre som later til å ha hatt samme opphav ble funnet i Norsk Skogmuseums fotoarkiv, der fotograf OT Ljøstad hadde plassert dem i plastmapper merket "NLH".
