Såkalt «bøklingfiske» etter sik (Coregonus lavaretus) i elva Tufsinga i Os i Hedmark. Sikfiske med not. Nota settes. I sanda (til venstre i bildet) står ei snaut to meter lang stang med en liten hermetikkboks i enden. Dette er «bøkkelen», som ble brukt til å skremme siken mot nota. Åsmund Eknæs, som var konservator ved Norsk Skogbruksmuseum, beskrev bøklingfisket i Tufsinga slik i boka «Innlandsfiske» (1979): «Når ein fiskar med not etter sik i elva Tufsinga ved Femund, er «bøklinga» ein heilt nødvendig føresetnad for eit godt resultat. I oktober, når siken er på veg oppover den smale elva, driv dei dette særeigne fisket på denne måten: To mann dreg med båten 50-100 meter nedanfor den staden der dei skal setje nota. Så ror den eine sakte oppover att, medan den andre brukar bøkkelen [ei stang med en boks i den eine enden, som støytast ned i vatnet for å skremme fisken] og jagar siken framfor seg. Så set dei den 25 meter lange og 1, 7 meter høge nota så fort som råd tvers over elva. To mann i ein annan båt har i mellomtida drege ca. 100 meter oppover i elva, og når nota er på plass, tek dei til å bøkle nedover mot henne. Når dei er like ved nota blir ho dregen så fort som råd inn mot det eine landet. Og er dei heldige, kan det vere fleire hundre halvkilos sikar i nota. »
