The stolphus (stolphouse) is from the farm Nordre Kvinnegard in Kvinnegardslia. The stolphus is believed to have been built in the 1670s. The timber is said to have been cut above Bakkåkeren. The stolphus was moved to the museum in 1982.Lars I. Kvinnegard (born 1904) told in 1952 that his great-grandfather, Ivar Larsson (1838–1905), had said that the stolphus was built with timber cut at the farm. Inside, there is a grain bin made of aspen, over 1 meter in cross-section. It spans from wall to wall and holds 1200 liters of grain. On the right side of the front room, a notch is cut in the floor. This was used to tie sheep or other small livestock when they were to be slaughtered.
